Caleb Farley has been projected as a top talent among the CBs in this draft class. His athleticism is off the charts, and his 6’2 frame allows him to keep up physically even with the biggest receivers and tight ends. When healthy, he could be the best cornerback in this group. That said, health has been the concern about him for awhile.

I mentioned in Farley’s Draft profile that due to a procedure on his back, he was unable to perform in his Pro Day. I don’t usually put a ton of stock a player’s Pro Day when they have proven to be talented in games. However, this was an important Pro Day because Farley has not been seen on a football field since 2019. He opted out of the 2020 season due to Covid concerns.

Farley’s health issues appear to be behind him though, and while his back procedure still concerns me a bit moving forward (again, read his draft profile to get more of my thoughts on this), it appears that all engines are a go for him. With that, his draft stock has risen. If the back was still a major concern, I predicted he would fall into the second round. Now that it isn’t it wouldn’t be shocking at all if he jumped into the first round. For example, teams like Chicago and Tennessee both could use some improvements to the secondary, and they both could take him with early-20s picks.
